The Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities (COCEMFE) is a non-profit association, registered in the National Registry of Associations of the Ministry of Interior with number 815 and declared of public utility on November 2, 1983.
COCEMFE is governed by its Statutes, article 22 of the Spanish Constitution, the Law regulating the Right of Association, the General Law of Subsidies , the Law of Fiscal Incentives and Patronage, and other provisions that develop them.
COCEMFE is governed by the self-government system and the principles of representation and democratic functioning and has its own legal personality independent of that of its members, with its own organizational structure . It has a control body, called the “Guarantee and Disciplinary Committee”, made up of people outside the entity’s governing bodies.
